vhfBridge is a transponder that provides a hub with an additional channel to communicate with a control station. With vhfBridge you can use Ajax systems in cities where the Internet connection is not stable, in nature reserves, mountain and desert areas.

Alarms and events from the system are transmitted over tens of kilometers via VHF radio waves1. vhfBridge can be used as a primary or backup communication channel.

A 7 Ah backup battery can be built into the vhfBridge housing. This can power a VHF transmitter with a current consumption of up to 2A. Therefore, the transmitter does not need a battery, reducing the need for frequent maintenance.

In the event of a building power failure, the transponder and transmitter operate for up to 75 hours4 on a backup battery, while still transmitting events to a central monitoring station.

Like the other Ajax devices, vhfBridge connects to a hub in the app by scanning a QR code. The transponder housing has openings for more organized wiring. Outputs are configurable with Ajax apps for smartphones and computers.
