The Dahua NVR5208-8P-EI2 is a professional 8-channel network video recorder from the WizSense series, designed for security installations where high image quality, intelligent detection, and fast image analysis are essential. The recorder features 8 integrated PoE ports, allowing up to eight IP cameras to be connected and powered directly without the need for a separate PoE switch.

The powerful hardware supports IP cameras with resolutions up to 32 megapixels and offers a maximum incoming, recording, and outgoing bandwidth of 448 Mbps when the built-in AI processing is not in use. In addition, the recorder can decode up to 8 channels at 8MP at 30 fps. For local playback, the NVR supports an HDMI output with a resolution of up to 8K.

Extensive WizSense AI Functionality

The NVR5208-8P-EI2 features powerful built-in AI functions that enable more accurate analysis of camera footage. Among other features, the recorder supports SMD Plus, perimeter security, face detection, face recognition, video metadata, and AcuPick.

SMD Plus enables better differentiation between people, vehicles, and irrelevant movements, significantly reducing false alarms caused by factors such as rain, moving leaves, or changing lighting conditions.

AcuPick makes it possible to quickly locate people and vehicles in recorded video footage. The NVR can process AcuPick independently on up to four channels and, when combined with compatible Dahua cameras, supports intelligent search functions across all connected channels.

The recorder also features WizSeek, which allows users to quickly locate relevant objects and events in recorded footage based on search criteria. This significantly reduces the amount of video footage that needs to be reviewed manually.

Ample Storage Capacity

For local video storage, the NVR5208-8P-EI2 is equipped with two HDD bays. This allows for ample storage capacity for long-term, high-resolution recordings. In addition, iSCSI is supported for expansion with external network storage. The recorder is shipped without hard drives as standard.
