All these brands offer a wide range of IP recorders. The recorders start with 4 channels and go up to 5000 channels. There are recorders with and without PoE. With PoE recorders, the camera receives a 12-volt power supply directly from the recorder. With recorders without PoE (so-called network recorders), the camera must be powered separately. You can power a camera using an adapter directly on the camera or by means of a PoE injector on the UTP cable. In some cases, it may be easier to work with a network recorder. Most recorders nowadays are equipped with a Dutch menu. When choosing a recorder, it is important to consider the following aspects:

• Number of channels
• PoE or no PoE
• How many hard drives are possible
• How many MP can the recorder process
• What is the maximum bandwidth
