A network video recorder is a recording system for IP or network cameras. An IP camera is wired or wirelessly connected to the NVR. The camera images can be viewed via the internet browser on the computer, on all smartphones via a free app, or via the hdmi output on a television or monitor. The X-security has several nvr types

PoE

PoE means: power over Ethernet.

The camera receives the power over the network cable. If an NVR has PoE on the video channels, the PoE network cameras are directly connected to the NVR. Without using the network you have the system working.
