Western Digital WD Purple 2TB – Reliable Storage for Security Cameras

The Western Digital WD Purple 2TB (WD23PURZ) is a professional 3.5-inch SATA hard drive specifically designed for video surveillance systems. This surveillance HDD is designed for continuous use and provides reliable storage for security footage in compatible network video recorders (NVRs) and digital video recorders (DVRs).

With 2TB of storage capacity, the WD Purple is a practical choice for small- and medium-sized security camera installations. The drive is suitable for applications where camera footage is continuously recorded and stored, such as retail stores, offices, commercial buildings, and residential security systems.

Optimized for 24/7 video surveillance

Unlike a standard desktop hard drive, the WD Purple is designed for the specific demands of video surveillance. The drive supports sustained write operations and features Western Digital AllFrame technology, which helps minimize lost video frames.

Thanks to CMR recording technology, this hard drive delivers consistent performance during extended video recording.

Suitable for professional NVR and DVR systems

The WD Purple 2TB features a SATA 6 Gb/s interface and a 3.5-inch form factor. This allows the drive to be used in a wide range of compatible recorders, including systems from Hikvision, Dahua, SPRO, and other manufacturers.

Always check the maximum storage capacity and compatibility of the specific recorder beforehand.
